Ugh!!!!! So jealous! We passed the ranch last weekend going back up the coast, drooling the whole way at the good surf with no one out! We were then promptly distracted by 25 knots and heavy seas on the nose as soon as we got out from behind the point, but wow, what a beautiful spot!

  • Pure Trouble

They should just change the name to "Breaking Shit"

Fantastic – California coast – sharks? I presume you use the drone for a quick pre-surf shark recce and then watch out for each other?

Really great how you worked through the engine problem without panicking!! Job done, nice one cyril!

Being in the "irons" suck… we sailed to Hawaii in 1978 on a 60' schooner and found ourselves in "irons" for two days. I remember pealing an orange and seeing the orange peels in the water the next day, right next to the hull where I had thrown them overboard.

As you head south, watch out for a red wooden gaff-rigged sailboat with Ruth and Garrett on board. Salt & Tar!!

  • Ed Kleinstuber

You are in the US now, change that centigrade stuff to the American way so we can see the temp. Don't know how to spell farenheight

  • Sailing Aribel

Right on guys!! Great video woot!! – love seeing the California sun ☀️ Kudos on being able to film when $h!t happens lol – on Aribel when stuff goes south the last thing in my mind is to start filming lol! Fair winds awesome humans! ⛵️

Cheers from Vancouver Island (and YES the rains are happening)

Fantastic editing and story telling. I am exiting for you two to get to Cortez but more for your pacific crossing…. Do it don’t consider long term. It will all work out Just do it. You won’t regret it.

Bruce looks like he is enjoying boat life more now

Tie the tender(Dingy) to the side and motor away from the shore its saved me before it works😊❤

Hi guys it seems to be a common theme with Yachties they all have problems with their motors don’t start overheating etc etc etc anyway love your videos keep up the good work hope you don’t run a ground cliff from Logan city Queensland Australia from the big island

C’mon. That’s straight out of ‘How to Dog 101’.

You guys get better at this every episode. It’s a very enjoyable watch, thanks…….that stretch of coast looks beautiful….and sharky..

This happened to me once. If the o ring on the sea-water strainer lid wears out, it doesn't seal well enough to actually draw water through the system. When you can, change that o ring or at least get a spare. Cranking the lid down really tight can help too.

  • SV GITANA

Ah yes the typical no wind/wind of SoCal sailing!! 😅
Grew up sailing in Dana Point and we had days like what you had. Typically less than 10 knots….nice rolling seas!

  • SV GITANA

Forgot to add, you couldn’t pay me to surf that area….way too many white sharks!! 🫤

By the way, you guys need a bigger Canada flag!!

  • SV Mundial the mapmaker

Bummed we missed you guys in our home port! My friend Brian that i met in Costa Rica yearss ago sent me over to your channel recently. Enjoying all your videos and thanks for inspiring some of ours 🙂 Hopefully our paths cross in warmer waters in the future

Looking for some Canadian help, you mentioned in an earlier video that you were going to finance your boat. Did you end up doing that? Any advise you could share to a fellow future sailor trying to come up with enough to buy a decent boat? We found our boat while in Annapolis for the boat show but it’s over our budget, and the exchange rate kills us Canadians🙄

Hi Alie, Ben, just want express my disappointment at last episodes thumb nail, u dont need to use Alies gorgeous figure in a provocative way to get subscribers, I didn't think you'd lower yourselves to what other trashy channels do. Ur both great sailors, honest and talented people, please just be yourselves because u Rock. 🇦🇺🌈🤙

  • Hamish Esslemont

So pleased that the engine issue was a “I can fix that” one ! I loved the , “ sell, the boat, we’ve achieved our dream” comment 😂😂

Off of Ensenada, Todos Santos Island has a famous big wave break but there are other breaks besides Killers. Anchor on the east side at the isthmus. There are also some underwater swim through caves that are awesome there. Worth a stop.
