Fascinated by the stuck anchor. I got my anchor stuck at Colintraive on the Eastern Kyle of Bute, in similar circumstances, arriving in the dark. It was my second summer boating and I was under time pressure to get going. It took two hours and eventually I freed in by keeping constant pressure, slowly increasing. The the bow went down towards the water….but suddenly it released and the bow sprung a way up into the air!

    Was fascinated by your ring!

Loved the camera work, looking up at the tops of the trees. And the Blue Caves!

    Thank you, ⛵️

Loved our time in Montenegro. Also seeing again through your eyes means a return visit is a must. Stunning video. Cool calm and confident(?) dealing with the stuck anchor, shows good equipment with know how is important. See you in the next one 👍

Great film guys, love the content you put out. I've been following you since the start, definitely my favourite sailing channel!

  • Bert Kelly

Underwater drone…cool! Maybe use that to see how to un lodge the anchor?

  • John Smith

The tip of the Ultra anchor looks bent. This will seriously effect the performance.

We’ve had some unseasonably warm and dry conditions here in the northeast as well. Not complaining. Been a gorgeous autumn, née Indian Summer. Curry weather! Partial to a vindaloo but can never find a willing teammate. 😊

Great Video. I would have liked a minute of slow panning with the camera at the top of the mountain (with music) to get a nice 60 seconds of relaxing view of the bay and mountains.

"It must be something on the top" – well usually it is a view and a downhill offered…

  • My Mobile

That ring just paid for itself, nice one!

Have done the same with a big 5 ton shackle, works a treat. Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.

Best channel ☺️ enjoyed your walk in forest hand in hand. Always learn something about the places u travel 🇨🇦❤️

Another fantastic entertaining video. We certainly loved Montenegro when we went there a few years ago. It’ll be very sad for me when you eventually leave the Med. I’ve traveled a huge amount around it and it’s great to see my favourite channel revisiting the places I’ve been to and loved😀👍

another beauty of a film. What team work and coolness personified to get that anchor free!!! xx

I’m sorry I stop commenting on your videos. But I love your picture and videos. I ‘m sorry I like watching you sail without music. But I like hearing the sounds of the waves and wind. ❤️

, I can’t sail as sea sick but love your channel, thank you 🙏 love seeing your Beautiful wife , sorry Steve

Hi, could you please identify the maker/brand of your anchor recovery ring?

    Great video!

  • Robert Turner

Interesting. Wondering if your marine drone might have been an option for at least eyeballing the obstruction..?

  • Sailing Yacht Salty Lass

Interesting "ring thing". We use a tripping line on a float for anchorages that are reported to have foul bottoms or rock. Was that one marked as rocky in the charts or pilotage? The blue caves looked lovely and I can only imagine that in real life they looked even better.

its amazing the love you both have for what you do and for each other. inspiring for sure.

As wonderful, fascinating and entertaining as ever. Thank you so much!

I think I’ve just gotta hate you both, but only because of weather. Let me explain.
I bought a 38’ yacht back in April. The weather was kind & I spent the summer sailing with my sons, my grandkids, my good lady & even friends.
With all that experience under my belt September felt like a good time to go solo here on the west coast of Scotland. Then October Etc etc etc.
Since then it’s been pants, capped off by today.
I arrived in Largs last nite to utter calm & the promise of 9-18kts of breeze on & off throughout the day. I slept well after preparing “Liv of Nyhavn” for 2 good days.
05:30 brought stiff breezes, 06:40 brought 35kts of wind, bettered by 08:30 when the whirligig at the top of my mast became a blur while registering 40kts.
Having done all the jobs I can between sideways rain I popped down below for tea & a biscuit & the final nail in my coffin – you guys straddling your stern, basking in sunlight. Give me a break 🤭
On second thoughts, thank you – I’m sure I’ll feel better tomorrow. Cheers for listening.
    Really love the vids.

Awsome anchor trick and device; hadn’t ever seen that one.
Nice boat; that’s the right tool for the job for sure.
Great video presentation and narration. Always love the shoreside tours.
    Beautiful.

Lost a brand new 60Ib angker off white Island , NZ , Volcanic rock , The Ultra ring looks a good purchase .

  • E N

I have some vague recollection you have a hookah or scuba. If so, would your next step have been (assuming ring did not work) to dive down to it? Thanks!

  • usabayer Micha

very nice footage on your walk. What kind of camera system were you using when walking through the trees?

  • Brian Buchanan

    Well done.
Very enjoyable video, content, and editing "

I love how quiet your electric dinghy motor is. Do you have a video highlighting your dinghy configuration? I might be overlooking it as I can through your previous videos.
