Aloha from beautiful Hawaii islands its absolutely stunning from New Zealand to Fiji , thanks for sharing. I am buying sailboat Cape Dore full keel ready for Cape Horn next year .CapeDory design not for speed. but for safety .Cape Dory slow boat ,but solid rock boat .Finally you left a New Zealand , I am glad you left ,you was stock for very long time . Hey Barry, so glad you made it in one piece but fully understand your frustration, discomfort and concern while sailing in such conditions.
I too have sailed in similar conditions but nowhere near as ling as you endured them.

@720.. I would have laughed if you "didnt" climb that without a harness on.. Only a fool would do that kind of thing these days.. You are obviously a true seaman.
