Helpful tips…. If you miss drill a hole, it does suck, but the quick fix is to put a machine crew or bolt thru it, always using 5200 to seal it. Then when there's time, do a proper gelcoat patch. When working in overboard areas, where a dropped bolt, screw, washer, or tool is unrecoverable, use an umbrella turned upside down under the work area. It will catch that washer, nut, etc. I worked in the marine industry building yachts for close to 30 yrs.

Great video. One thing I usually do (when launching/boarding dinghy in windy conditions): disconnect from the davits completely and lead the painter to a midships cleat on Sea Star…the wind will generally push the dinghy aft and up against Sea Star. You can adjust the painter length such that the dinghy ends up right against the swim platform.
