Congratulations on you getting it ready to splash... I knew you could do it...
And I knew it was going to be expensive.... Although I never considered working on my own boat as being work, it's more like labor of love and always enjoyed doing it...
I still think you paid too much for that boat considering the condition it was in and knowing how much time and money it was going to take to get it back in working and livable condition...
The problem I always had my whole life is, when I had the money I didn't have the time, and when I had the time I didn't have the money.....
It's okay to get a fixer upper, but only as long as you don't have to rebuild the whole freaking boat.....

But in your calculations of whether it's financially worth it for a YouTube channel to do all that work, if you consider that most YouTube sailing channels who do refits will be doing weekly videos of the refit and generate revenue from those weekly videos. Perhaps the revenue they make from those videos swings the finances into black.
