I have seen a problem like yours with the throttle position sensor error. It was caused by ground loop issues. You have to run all the grounds to a single point. If you have a multi battery bank and have grounds going to different batteries in the bank then connect the batteries together it can cause ground loops leading to "ghost errors" and other strange intermittent electrical issues. Just take all the electrical grounds going to the same battery bank and connect them to the same battery post. I strongly recommend doing the same with the positive. Many people suggest using the middle battery post. The most important thing iis to connect them to the same post.

Looking at the big picture......they have engineered the simple, reliable diesel motor into a monster. There are so many electronics, sensors, computers, boards, etc that failure is more common than ever. They have engineered these motors into certain failure and brain racking solutions that can only be fixed by a specialized technician in many cases. Nordhavn has the right idea with their new N41. Going back to basics with dual motors equipped with a few gauges and removing all the computers. Well done! Anyone can diagnose and fix most issues. Easy to outfit with spares for long distance reliable travel.

Problem is simple you have a electronic problem most likely in your electronic throttles for the engine havin troubles look for a potentiometer style sensor in the system you have one not working that’s my take on limited info

Hi Brandon. I would like to see you test the Potentiometer for the Port engine in the power commander. Each engine has its own Pot to Control RPM. Just because the Starboard one is fine doesn't mean the Port side is good. In me career I have changed many Accelerator pedals for just such an issue. Generally the potentiometer is made with carbon strip. Vibration and use over time causes the the contact between the strip and the arm that runs on the strip to fail. When you turn on the key the ECU sends a signal to all systems associated with engine start and and run asking for system check and report. This happens in milliseconds and you can see it when you turn on the key the gauges all go up then down. If the voltage reading sent back to the ECU is not at the correct value it will be sent in to fault mode, then it will list a fault and sand a warning to the dash for you to then sit there and pull your hair out until you find the issue. Your power commander will have a test procedure to establish if the voltages are correct. Lugger would have a scan tool connector to plug in to so you can see all the values in real time. This is the easiest way to test power commander. Find your OBD 2 port and plug in a real time value scanner. With a good quality scanner you can also do a wiggle test on the wiring harness. If a plug or wire is bad this will show a voltage change in a circuit on the screen when you shake a plug or connector. I hope this helps
