Such wonderful peaceful episode.. thank you all…Oh it made me think of a favorite song by Donovan and his 4 album set "Gifts From a Garden" the song is "The Tinker and the Crab" ..maybe Maya can play the violin in a dance with the flute in the song?

@14:36 My beautiful Havhestur (not the wooden boat, the Magifikant sailboat just behind it).

And Havhestur; don't let this 5 sec of fame get to you, you're good as you are.

  • Sand Spike

Your violin solo is nothing short of luscious.

  • Gert Sax Møller

I cannot imagine a better place and time to play “Innisheer”

  • B M

Blissful sailing and exploring, good to have a friend share the journey and let you have time to film other details of life onboard.

  • Krofty

In Scandinavian folklore "Näcken" is a man sitting by the water, there he plays enchanted tunes on his violin luring in women and children to drown them. As I watched Maya play I imagined that's how her and Aladino met, but gender swapped😊

My wife and I saw you this summer, not far from Vinga at a place called In Vinga. We live on Hönö and was out with our boat. It's interesting to wtch the place where we live through someone elses eyes. Not far from the place where you were anchoring there is a small island called Lejonet (the Lion on english). It looks like a lion lying down.

Greetings from Howth in Ireland and thank you for playing ‘Inisheer’… Beautiful 🙏☘️

  • Tom

What is the music that begins at 11:16?

  • Bryan

Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery and the beautiful music. Another peaceful evening here sitting by the fire and enjoying the world through your journey. Peace

  • Kelly H

    Thank you all….just that….thank you❤️💕🙏

  • Gordon Ledger

Hi from NZ really enjoyed this excellent production
This is such a good therapy in troubling times
Tech stuff if you put a chain brake on the aft end of the anchor fairlead a steel flap that pivots from the top you can take a breath when pulling up the anchor by hand
    Cheers

It is amazing to me that you make such wonderful videos with such low barren islands in doldrum seas. In other hands this could have been so boring and uninteresting and yet you have made a gem of peace and stony grandeur.

Inasheer – I closed my eyes and listened repeatedly to your beautiful version! Greatly soothing! What is the sax music at the end? I am impressed by your selections of music to fit the video. You must have a great mental storehouse of appropriate music!

  • Carl Cantrell

I love it; he did all of the work, turned and said, "God job everybody." 🙂

  • Jim Wapelhorst

Ashokan farewell please ! The perfect complement! Thanks Jim

Tell Aladino not to give up his day job… A Spinnaker pole he is knot!
Looks like more eating than gathering going on there!

Maya and Aladino! My name is Sergey.

I used to be your patreon but when Russia started this war against Ukraine I can not be a patreon – my card is blocked due to restrictions. I am from Russia. And I want to say that you are doing great things showing people your videos. Your stories, your lifestyle, your work on Magic Carpet 2 are amazing.

It’s getting more and more hard to stay here because of this war, because of all those people in this country, who are supporting thit war. I have a lot of relatives in Ukraine, my mother is from Ukraine, my cousins are in Ukrainian army now. So I started thinking of leaving Russia.

I am an air traffic controller in Moscow but as a hobby I am building sail boats in shed. Two of them are made by now and were successfully tested at Black Sea. They are only 12 feet long. The third one is much bigger – 16 feet but it is under construction. It is a Catboat.

I would appreciate it if you share contacts of boatyards you know in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Sweden or maybe somewhere else. Or maybe you know someone who can give me useful contacts. I want to apply for a job on boatyard. If you want I will show you photos of my boats

  • Doug's Repair

Wow. Cow ropes, farmers tan, farmers workout, I’m surprised you weren’t anchored with an old plow. 😅

  • bishop Kinlyside

I love your videos but I cannot stand the violin or bagpipe make me sick

  • danielsondavidf

Polite request for historical content from locals (if receptive). Many Swedish Americans that migrated in the 1800s are absorbing your fine production.

  • David Callard

I have already shared this video with a Swedish friend in Lanio in the north of Sweden.

  • Captain Skeptical

That looks so nice, sitting here in -10° in France. Enjoy…

  • jonikiba1

Wauw, i have goosebumps for your violin music.

  • Francesca Sabbatino

As the short December days arrive these videos are a sweet dream of summer, thank you!

Nice to see my neighbourhood, Marstrand. I live just a couple of km east of Marstrand and visit it once or twice a week. In winter it is really calm here with no tourists. We have now 5-10 cm snow, -5 degrees C in the air, but +6 in the water so it will take a long time to get any ice, if any. Only two restaurants are open during the winter, "Marstrand Pizzeria" (where I had lunch yesterday 9th of December) and the large hotel, "Marstrands Havshotell", plus a hamburger stand at the ferry terminal, all on Koön ("Cow island"), not on the Marstrand Island itself.
