The worst smell: I work in a microbiology lab and we have to cook moldy petri dishes to kill everything, and then take that goop and put it in a trash bag. It's pretty foul and you can smell it 100s of feet from the building.

Cultural appropriation is one thing, but the worst smell I experienced was after a long shift in a restaurant. Got home exhausted, jumped into bed and pulled my covers up to my face. Felt something wet land on my upper lip, much like rileys mustache. Turned out my geriatraic cat had felt my duvet was a good place for a litterbox.
