You are already somewhere warm and I am shovelling snow 29 Dec. I hate UHT milk. We grew up where milk was scarce so Mother used powdered milk.
She mixed with HOT water and then put it into the fridge to cool down. The let sit for 24 hrs. Tasted almost like real milk and much better than the UHT.

If Maddie is used to UHT, then bonus for you but in a pinch powdered is a good alternative.
