Batteries in the bilge isn't a great idea. You get any kind of leak and you lose your electrics… That means early in a crisis situation, you lose radio, light etc. On my Cal 29 I shifted my batteries as high as possible.

these tristar MPPT is outstanding solar charger. bad idea to swap it to any other like victron..
