Hello guys,
Happy New Year to all, wishing you the best.
I need pratical informations you could have about this specific sailboat as I will soon get an Etap 28i, my next home.
I chose this tiny belgium boat first of all because it is insubmersible.
So does the foam inside the hull gives you better insulation during winter time?
Living on the St-Laurent river in Canada so this point is crucial for me.
Also, I am 1.88m tall so what is the maximum headroom?
I have read that it performs globally well into the wind as well as the engine power (Volvo Penta diesel 18hp) is sufficient to struggle agaisnt strong tide currents.
Finally, I would need a trailer to bring it back from the USA. Is it possible to put this baby in water alone or a crane is a must? I generally mount sailboat mast by myself with a A shape frame. I would like to be away from any marina, as I like to do everything by myself.

Cool vid guys. I’ve looked at a few boats to buy at Royal Quays inc. that Hunter you showed, and it’s a nice harbour so you ended up in a good spot for Christmas. I saw that big aluminium boat too and just dreamed… Not sure what your plans are for the NY and early 2023 but if you are heading north and through Edinburgh and I can do anything for you on your way then pls let me know. I’m a new member of RFYC in Granton Harbour (my new/first boat is still down in Newhaven I have to sail it up in March) if you’re in town and need a car or a lift or anything then I’m your guy.
