I loved this episode. I feel the same about spending time with children…..mine are all grown up and out of the house, but I have no regrets about having been a stay-at-home mom. If you miss their growing-up years, you can never get them back. The importance of families spending time together isn't something that's encouraged these days…..it's so refreshing and heart-warming to watch your lovely family on your adventures together.

Happy New Year to the cruising kiwis! I have been following your channel for a couple of years, and it is truly one of my favorite sailing channels. I appreciate what you said about spending time with your children, I'm a 67 year-old man and raised my two children myself. You would have to pry me away from them. I also appreciate what Jordan Peterson has to say about being with your children. I suspect you're not aware of how politically divisive and in fact considered an outright danger Jordan Peterson is by many, or at least questionable and emotionally challenged by most. Yes he talks about love and loving your children, but he also lies and promotes lies that endanger many people in the LGBT community. Claiming that the gay community is trying to groom children into being gay. Furthermore he claims that hospitals are doing genital mutilation on children, sex change. A simple research would show that this is not done in the US. children under 18 are not "sexually mutilated" as Jordan Peterson lies. Parents that have children that are born with sexual identity issues have enough to deal with without people like Jordan Peterson preaching hate and lies about what they are trying to do for their children. Many including myself would hold this man and others responsible to some degree for the deaths of many people in the past few years in the United States, resulting from hate crimes. specifically terrorist shootings, 49 people killed in a bar in Orlando Florida. The most recent in Colorado five people were killed in December. There has been bomb threats against hospitals that treat children with sexual identity issues. It really upset me and got me emotional to see that you were quoting him in your thumb nail. I always felt I was taking refuge when looking at your channel. To be honest after seeing the first couple of minutes of this episode I couldn't concentrate on what came after. I had to watch it again. Your politics is your business, as is your videos,.out of respect for you and your channel I won't specify or talk about any more political issues. If you would like to talk at all about this subject, I will be glad to communicate with you, Without doing so on your YouTube videos. Meantime I love following you guys! keep up the great work!

I so agree with your message, Rob. I, too, cherish every single day that my 38 year old and 36 year old are living with us. The day will come that they will once again use the wings that we have given them, but for now, they are using the roots we also provided them with. They know that we will always be there for them maintaining the roots they may need.
