Yes the work life balance is so hard to get right on a boat, and we all know that boats chew money up and spit it out with a total disregard to our financial situation! I was a yachty for 30 years and even on 2 and 2 I was not really using the boat well enough. You will figure out what works for you and of course the Med season is much longer than the Baltic where my baby lies ……. For now anyway.

Did you have any concerns about Orca’s? We wanted to take our boat from Northern Ireland to the Med this summer…but just can’t entertain the thought of having the boat damaged by Orca’s.

We are more likely to head for Madeira and the Canaries.

I had hoped to make a very similar trip to yours in my own boat this year, but I continue to have concerns about the Orca whale situation, as I think do many others. You seemed to have been ok, in that regard. Good luck in the new job and keep the videos coming, even though they may be less often.
