Five years on the batteries should not be a problem. I never needed to replace mine before eight years. IMHO that does only make sense if you replace them with LiFePo4 ones to double the capacity using the same space, but for just 90 days?
Seeing the old Ruff Seas made me miss Goose and Mav. Now that you've had some experience with the Dark Side, are you going to make a video about buying used motorized boats? Also, are you going to interview the old owners of the Jeanneau 37 about their experiences?

You're going to love that cat ! Buying the boat for a few months is not the best idea, but certainly far from terrible. You have a good gauge on what the market on resale would be but you never know. Even if you take a small loss on it, compare a couple of grand to several grand renting an apartment or paying to drive your RV around. It's probably a break even, which is what you could hope for. What a life !

What’s the biggest risk for fire on your new boat, battery?
Bobby. Looks like you may be able to remain in Shengen longer if you are crew of a ship. You are 'in-transit'. That's what i am looking into. Crew in merchant shipping get stamped-in to countries but stamped-out after joining their ship so I have been told. It does not matter what size ship. Presumably anyone working in shipping would burn up all of their allowance very quickly if this was not possible.
Love the electrification of your new project boat. To be honest I stopped watching your show while back but this has awakened my attention and I will definitely keep an eye open for this new venture!
