Thats a bummer about possibly missing out on the O 49 guys.. We have our new Cat – Rehab berthed in a Marina in Auckland while we do some maintenance. There is an O 49 in the berth next door and man its a bloody nice boat !

When the "experts" have such a long and difficult process to get a new boat then what chance does an average person looking to get into this world have? Seems to me that buying a brand new boat affords LESS hassles in the long run than buying a used boat in a foreign country. Maybe its just a bad time to be looking for boats or catamarans right now and its best to wait and hold off for a few years. Looking forward to hearing more on what you all have learned through this process soon. Blessings to you both and praying you will finally get the boat you want and will be on to the next phase of this amazing adventure.

Almost 1 year ago, we sold our longtime sailboat- feeling absolutely sure we'd found our next one, only to find our hopes dashed as a result of the survey. The next 5 months that passed felt like an eternity as we devoted nearly every week checking out boats in person and virtually. It's not a welcome process, especially when you miss what you had and are SO ready to continue the dream in your next dreamboat. When you do find it, however, it is that much sweeter. That said, we never had the opportunity to stay in a place like you have while we waited out the
"storm"… Keep up the faith. We know you won't settle out of desperation.
