It’s not just the bridge that is a problem. To starboard just after the bridge is the Sint Maarten Yacht Club that also has been hit. Then you have a choice to turn to port or go straight to marina accommodations. If you choose to go straight, the first marina is right close on your right side. The next marina for big boats is on the other side of the lagoon. Be careful on your approach as if you go too far to the left you will run aground. I’ve seen boats hit the bridge, the yacht club, and run aground.

There is no perfect solution about locating the bridge house. It has to be where the bridgetender can see the bridge and the canal and boats coming and going. Maybe the answer would be requiring yachts to have a pilot to enter or leave the lagoon.

Completely illegal arrests. He had every right to move his property until he was convicted of a civil or penal crime . No American owned yachts were arrested after Iraq nor Saudi yachts arrested during Yemen invasion nor Isreali yachts during illegal occupation in Palestine…and so on…
