2. Jordan, thank you for the Snap Car Rental recommendation. We rented a mid-size car from them the week before Christmas. Price was reasonable and all insurance was included in the quote we received. The rental car made it easy and flexible for us to visit Chichen Itza, Merida, Progreso, and to load up on groceries from Chedraui.

5. I was thinking about moving to Mexico as a "permanent" visitor, going by vehicle. Is there any way you could please do a video showing a map giving some guidance about where to go where is potentially dangerous? I understand there is no absolute guarantee either way. Even if your video shows a map of the entire country and you say it's safe everywhere, that's fine, although I hope that is not what you will say. Thanks.

9. I would never rent a car in Mexico….too dangerous!
   There are money scams,and also police stopping you for no reason, then suggesting $ to get off.

   Just stay in Hotel Zone and walk everywhere.
   Thats my limit ❤

11. Dont stay in isolated resort, so you dont need a car. Def dont use credit card, use pesos (applies to other countries also).

16. Hertz in Guadalajara is wanted me to pay them $2500 usd for a 2013 Nissan Sentra. After I was quoted $250 usd online. I ubered everywhere after that.

20. I will add, try the Tren Maya to visit ruins and other cities like Merida and Campeche. Also Cenotes are IMHO better than beaches.

26. had a great time in cancun but im never going back 😂every corner i would bump into someone attempting a scam. not my ideal getaway. Also my room flooded at the Royalton and the manager threatened her cartel connects on us with we didn't pay for the damages…and ofc we didnt and nothing happened😂😂😂

35. Rental cars say precisely that on the lisence plate. To avoid detection just drive as slow as possible and trust me, you are then one of the locals.
