I was sailing the world before cell phones and satellite weather… luckily I found a vessel to crew on occasionally that had good HAM RADIO to link up a landline phone call although not private, it did the job.

I understand that personal losses may make for extra cautious directing of the event but don't completely ruin the Golden Globe PURPOSE for what is appearing more like a commercial venture to sell products….

I don’t understand why Abalish and Kirsten are so far north of the rumbline to Cape Horn…i know the weather south is rough but they are going to get blasted by the system approaching them anyway.. i would have thought it beat for them to get the hell around the corner soonest…
