I came into the ad of this boat few times and wondering about her too. The thing is: wood and stell don't like each other…so considering the overall condition of the deck it makes me guess that the deck under the teak is completely rotten and rusty. So a very expensive and time consuming and there are better 35k steel boats around

I wouldn’t listen to armchair surveyors – just get a survey done. If this comes back ok, this boat could be amazing again. For me, following your journey will be made more interesting if you could travel with other people – this boat would enable that due to it’s size. Some people commenting about trying to hide rust with marine red oxide – of course this is rubbish. It is a way temporary way to stop any rust worsening in a marine environment.
