I’m so disappointed after years of waiting for this race and watching the whitbread as a child, meeting the great Sir Peter Blake at the gulf harbour yacht club in Auckland where they live streamed the boats from great barrier island all the way up the hauraki gulf in 1989-1990!!

It’s 2023 and live streaming is CHEAP, what are you even running this on? There’s no title sponsor, barely any commentary, the same clips played over and over again and THE LOWEST PARTICIPATION IN THE RACES HISTORY!!

Like others, I was disappointed not to see the finish live. I'm sure arranging a live stream should be quite practicable for a daytime finish. Or at least increase the frequency of positional updates of the tracker to about 15 sec.

The coverage is MIA, and this is making my Spidey Senses tingle. Leg two took weeks of racing on the water, and the total coverage of the the finish has been less than ten minutes, total. The leg ended hours ago and there's no in depth recap of the leg, no interviews with the teams, nothing at all. Something is seriously wrong at race HQ. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that leg three and the rest of the race will be cancelled here in Cape Town.
