Hello I'm kinda speachless. I would not touch this if it was free. Running a properly setup boat is already expensive. I cant think of setting out in any offshore trip equiped with that. those narrow hulls as living space ouch! But go ahead, living the dream on the edge of a precipice prolly make a fun youtube chanel to watch. there has to be a better deal out there.

Mark. Where are the winches? Where are the electronics? Where is the head? Berths? Sails? WTF.All that stuff costs money. Not wishes or some ridiculous sense of hard work. MONEY. So compare the money to buy new stuff for this boat to ALREADY COMPLETE boats.

I think this project looks great fun! Only concern is that one of the reasons why you didn't get the Costa Rica boat was because you would have problem in marinas given its size. Surely this boat would have the same problem? Anyway you want what you want and it's obvious that you want a wharram so if the price is right then go for it.

This is painful. Get a professional to do the survey. You pointed to the main bulkhead where it joins the hull and said it was rotten and needed to be replaced. That's when a wooden boat is simply finished.This isn't fiberglass where you replace a ply bulkhead and tab it to the hull. This boat is wood, likely also rotted, where the bulkhead joins the boat. Rot there is simply better repaired by just building a new boat. And I don't mean prim and proper better repaired. I mean MONEY, TIME, and ending up with something that may actually be a seaworthy boat. You would be better off just buying some used plans and starting from scratch. You would be WAY better off by getting a modest, SEAWORTHY, COMPLETE boat and making more money while gaining more experience. It doesn't matter when this wreck was built or how good it may have been or any of that nonsense. What matters is what is is now. There are lots of good people in the world and easy to make new friends. But people won't come to help if it looks like failure.

You are showing us an ex boat. It's off the perch. It is no more. It is bereft of life and rests in peace.It is a DISPOSAL FEE.
