We sail Carnival often. Love it! My wife and I incorporate the Cheers Package in special pricing. That way, it makes sense to us. Sailed Mardi Gras November 2022. Awesome.

Start daily walking (1 mile) approx. 2 weeks prior to your cruise to get into shape for the walking on the ship

if you have the drink package on Carnival, you can get a bottle of water every time you get a drink. You can take the waters back to your room and put in the fridge.

The best tip concerning sailing on Carnival is to book on Royal Caribbean or Norwegian instead. Your vacation will be much more enjoyable.

I have cruised carnival several times and I refuse to buy the drinks package. I sail with my wife and she don't drink. You have to buy the package for everyone in your room. So I mainly drink beer and not to many of the "umbrella drinks" lol so I check the app and some bars on the ship have bucket sales on certain days that is literally 1/2 price. Just need to buy the bucket and take them back to your room and put them in the fridge

Here’s a tip, bring your own lanyard to hold your ship card (if you don’t mind having it around your neck.. We had a family come up to us on our last Carnival cruise & ask about it & they were bummed out (didn’t want to keep pulling it out of pockets)

Booked on Celebration in December 2023 with overseas families, this being the first cruise for some. I have sailed Carnival before, Fascination and Dream. I’m looking forward to this newest class of ships and all they offer. I actually love Carnival. Perhaps because they were my first cruising experience, and It was good one. Thank you for your tips.
