you won't have the diesel's gear box losses there…. so that's more of the 9.4HP into the water, and a torque curve that matches the prop power curve better….it will feel like way more.
the Only Thing I Am Worried about is the diameter of the motor…..it's probably going to be tight againt the hull and companionway stair on an extension ?

no kit, so you would still need to get a Re-Gen controller, contactor, throttle stuff and cables…..if it makes 7kW of power at 24V<– Do That Then..because that is 9.4 HP
you could get 8 pc. GBS 160AH….24V totally safe, no ct required..
that is the Absolute best i can do, price, performance, longevity wise….Ashwoods Axial Flux 7kW at 24V nom. 8 pc, GBS 160 AH ….9.4 HP on 4kWh
Not a Kit motor…so you still need a Re-Gen Controller, contactor, and throttle stuff there….( sore power charger, 24v to 12v converter ) and you can wire a 24v pannel strait to the pack.
