You should never use a wire brush on bronze or brass as it leaves steel bits in the metal which will RUST!!!!

One little tip when sanding fibre glass. If you are using wet sandpaper… add a bar of bathroom soap to the bucket of water and it will stop the sandpaper clogging and clean the area you are sanding better.
