Another rule of thumb, everything costs more than you think 🙁 I just serviced one of my winches, not that I should have had to because it is nearly new. As I was disassembling it the feeder arm flew off and of course went in the drink, not the cockpit (ref: the last rule of thumb). Maybe another rule of thumb 🙁

I don't know that it counts as a "rule of thumb" exactly, but it seems everything on the boat wants to go in the water. It's up to us to stop it.
