Don’t know how to sail? You’ll learn as you go. It’s not black magic. A simple concept with many details and it’s own language. There will always be obstacles and things to figure out but that’s what makes it so rewarding. Also, seafarers are extremely generous with knowledge, supplies, food, booze etc. They look out for their own. Don’t let finances discourage you. Looking forward to your journey. Just had the channel pop-up algorithmically – subscribed. Just negotiating for my first boat (£5k) and similarly barely knowing port from starboard. So many channels about living afloat, and the 'bikini' ones do seem popular (if not with me). For better or worse I think that people like to see into other people's lives, so the interest is going to be in you at least as much as in the sailboat context. Particularly liked/identified with the closing motivational explanation.

Hey brother great video. I just purchased and older sailboat "new to me". Currently watching from my 1980 Catalina 22. Im learning along the way as well! Definitely related to your story. I'm going to catch up on the other uploads.
