It was definitely nerves. And I agree, if you don't like it, why do it.

I was on FB on a motorcycle site and a guy was setting off on a 5 week solo trip. In his post he said he hates to travel. I was confused that if you hate to travel, why travel for pleasure? Lots of people just day ride without traveling. Made no sense to me.

Thanks for this raw and true take on a long crossing. My wife gets car sick and we recently discovered motion sickness glasses. She swears by them and never rides without them now. Maybe they would help on a boat? Google "motion sickness glasses". They look silly, but they work.

Oh those arent bad, last tim i was on a boat in the atlantic, we got caught in part of a hurricane, 32 foot seas. Count your blessing. There was puke everywhere.. Also lay on your left side if you are sea sick, it goes away pretty quickly.
