A stunning yacht, back in November we were docked in Gibraltar on an Oyster 485, later that week the 495 pulled in to the birth next to us.
When the shakedown crew were having their sundowner, I asked to come aboard for a tour and they welcomed me aboard, I was impressed by how this beautiful boat was build. As an engineer I also got a good look at all the technical areas and I was equally impressed by how this boat is put together. I also crewed on an Oyster 56 and from my impression the 495 is almost as spacious as the 56.

In 2023 I would expect high end boat builders to be incorporating advanced battery systems like Lithium with associated electronics and large alternators. Clever incorporation of solar would also have been useful after all this is supposed to be a Blue Water cruiser and has been designed from scratch.
