I consider that the system that this dam has to support the entire structure of the ships is not reliable, we have just seen it with the Petrel, are those very thin tubes supposed to keep a vessel weighing thousands of tons immobile? At first glance, that helicopter landing pad at the bow would make quite a sail with good leverage to break the supports. This is an unusual design and may have caught these professionals unawares.

Every ship has a technical plan for dry dock and shows where the blocks go etc and where stabiliser fins are housed and what distance they open our to etc along with a whole host of other information. Other Teck plans show where craned loads can be landed as decks need to have the correct load bearing etc and there are specific areas for this. If there have been any technical modifications to a vessel, all the relevant technical plans should be updated and approved by class and flag also, speculative and we need to wait but I do wonder if mods may have been made since launch and tech plans not updated, the dockyard would not have known this unless on a plan. The forward pod propellor casing looks crushed and I would have expected that to have been off the ground and not have contacted even when she keeled over, I do wonder if she was not sat correctly on the blocks from day 1. Hope everyone pulls through and that lessons are learned.

Seems pretty short-sighted not to place some cribbing on a few frames to support it laterally after the boat was in drydock.

As a merchant guy with a unlimted 2/2 that enjoys your yacht content, could you please stick with the yachty stuff, i don't bring my merchant ticket and start assuming i know the ins and outs of how superyachts are managed and operated. the footage is interesting though. I enjoy your work
