Sorry, that red dress Queen Letizia is wearing is NOT appropriate attire for a royal (Grand Duchess Maria-Theresa’s outfits fall in the same category). Of course, I am not suggesting 21st century royal ladies should wear crinolines in the evening and twin-set-and-pearls during the day – but Queen Matilda and, especially, The Princess of Wales, show that you can dress in a stylish way without looking flashy euro-trash.
