Great job guys! That was some top-tier craptastic work. Did nobody think to look for holes in the hull after being beached and pounded by waves and morons for days?
It could have only ended one way. This was so incompetent that it looked like a lot like an intentional sinking.

The Navy, and merchant marines utilize a "ship wrecker", basically a flatbed for a large ship.. Probably should have been used in this scenario, or at minimum a support tug alongside providing dewatering while underway in tow. What a mess..

Absolute incompetence in salvage. The state should persue damages against that company also.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to assume there was damage to the bottom of the ship…….

People who laboriously earn their money with honest work do not do such things.

A mooring can hold a vessel up to some displacement. Beyond that displacement the morring will begin to dragged across the sea bed.
I'm not sure to fully understand the lawsuit matter. Instead, I'm sure that such rescue did not make sense.
