Firewood storage ? Better in the engine compartiment, so heat from engine dry the wood.

Instead of adding more and more layers of just fiberglass, you could achieve insane stiffness AND a bit of insulation if you put in a layer of foam sheet to achieve a composite foam sandwich type of constuction.
