I'm always jealous when I see the fantastic places you travel to Barry but nice shout out to SV Delos but I reckon you should definitely get an actual US flag too (the manager of the place I used to stay in Auckland was from Fiji and absolutely top bloke so Fiji's definitely on my list!).

Hi Barry, I've followed your videos since Spain, but first comment. Last year I finally followed your footsteps, sailing the boat I bought ib Panama across to FP and then Fiji. Imagine my delight in watching this video, I gather from mid-winter last year, as you occupied the mooring spot next to that small white steel boat with the green footprints on it, that looks abandoned, because I ended up in the next slot along, the one with the Amel, next to the big round "abandoned" catamaran (now apparently moved). And my boat, Sea Change, is still there. No cyclones hit Fiji this past summer, so I feel justified in leaving her there, but sadly although I was supposed to get back there this week, it will be August while I recover from shoulder surgery. So now you will be a year ahead of me as you are now in Australia, while I will only get there in November. Still I hope we meet up somewhere one day. We did a holiday to Fiji years ago (not sailing unfortunately) and had a look at Vuda point marina, definitely a WTF moment seeing boats sitting on the ground.

In the even of a tsunami, no the boats would not be safe. They appear fastened down so they would be swamped with the incoming water. But worse all of the "loose" boats would be carried up like battering rams. Then the destruction when all of the water recedes carrying trees and debris from inland. Best place for a boat is deep water on the other side of the planet. Love seeing the various boats.
