Another 20 minutes of Jamie having a moan…The wind’s wrong, the gear’s always breaking, visas are too expensive/take too long.
Sometimes I wonder why you put yourselves through this torment.
Then the weather improves, you catch your first Mahi mahi, the dolphins are back and the sailing is good.

I don’t get it, when you use the main the topping lift should not get any pressure. The pressure is taken by the sail. Hence sailing is the way to go. If topping lift still has pressure just release that but be careful when reefing. Given your sail drops ( ours furls hence not that issue)

We have a topping rope and a hydraulic spring holding the boom up even if there’s no rope. Actually would not need the topping rope just extra safety for when the spring fails.

This video says that it's your 136th video but it's your 163 video not including your 2 live videos. Also, your website says that the beam width is 7.4m/ 24.3ft but the first facility that you tried to hull out after you did the great American loop you said that the boat was 25 1/2 ft. wide.

we hate low wind and open sea swells...that banging is just like you said, damaging. And it is then so tempting to start the engines well done on putting that back together!

Hi guys, I enjoy the sailing channel and the next time you catch a fish like Mahi Mahi try this recipe
Dice enough onions, cucumbers and tomatoes for 4 people place in bowl with lemon/lime juice, chopped chilli to taste, salt and pepper to marinate for at least 60nm with stirring every 15mins.
Cut up enough fish for 4 people into strips about 1cm square x 2.5cm long and add to marinated salad veges and stir then place in fridge to cool.
Mix up some coconut powder into a cream and add after 30mins put back into fridge for another 45mins stirring occasionally. Serve on lettuce leaf in a bowl and add more chilli to taste. The extra serves are great the next day for lunch.

It’s called Kokonda in Fiji or Kokoda in PNG

Hi guys, for what it is worth, when we have reefed we use a short length of line with an eye one end, and take about 3 turns through the cringle and around the boom and sweat down on the eye (giving 2 : 1 purchase). This line then takes all the load and chafe, especially with the back and forth of a slatting sail.
Our reefing lines are really only used to pull down the reef, rather than hold it down.
