7. Since you include the apartment rental it is only fair to include the cost of the boat. Difference is that the apartment rental is equal to money thrown out the window, while the boat returns a certain value when sold. Not to forget the cost to upgrade/maintain/repair the boat which could wipe out any sales value. Bottom line: I think it's a stalemate. But, would you rather live in an apartment on land or have your lifestyle. No more comments necessary.

11. Great video thank you for explaining and breaking down boat life on land living. Question I am interested in is did you have any experience sailing before you took off on the Big Blue 4 1/2 years ago. If not did you take any courses in sailing, navigation, and were you mechanically experience sort of for repairs on boat when needed or all self-taught. Very interested knowing and my answer is definitely keep sailing. And if you decide to start a family sailing is still very possible. Keep them video coming thanks

12. Interesting and nice expense layout but to be fair, shouldn't you have amortize something for the original cost of the boat. That would be comparable to the apartment cost. In the final analysis you cannot compare the two life style.

24. I would have included a mortgage monthly cost as if you had purchased the boat with zero down payment. That's because when living on a rent you do not put any money down. A $1,000/m fee would have been about right I think. Cheers
