I am very impressed with your work ethic. And impressed with your knowledge across many disciplines. You Hatteras is worth much more than you paid what ever you paid. I spend many hours in the bilge of my Hatteras. I would suggest another project. A CRASH PUMP
A CRSH PUMP is a bilge pump that runs off your ENGINE WATER PUMP IMPELLER and will pump hundreds of gallons a minute while not harming your engines. All you do is add a T to your raw water intake before your water pump, attach a few valves and a long hose and if you have a big water intrusion you flip the lever and instead of pulling from the sea, you pull water directly from your bilge. Simple to set up witha few valves and T-s and wil save your boat if you blow a waterline, hit a log or other major damage that lets in a lot of water.
