You need to mark the strap points on the hull with a painted emblem. Write strap under the emblem. There will never be any doubt then.
good times with good friends
Awesome to see how positive all you guys are👍😀
Put a "tiny" bit through first.
Stick a dowel/bit through the hole.
Then go inside and see what you would be hitting/damaging/access from the inside.
If you're good on outside & inside, then continue with more drilling….
Man I hope y’all stocked up on what extra parts ya think ya might need I guess if it was me I wouldn’t want to just weld it up n cross that much water
Colin should be a doctor. They often have to work blind especially delivering babies.
How about a shout out to the patron who helped out by lending a ride
Jamie is so adorable and hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Yes that's Colin. The most blown up sailor in sailing history. They put him in an electric chair and he says it tickles.
I found the Red Eye flights tend to be empty so you can score a row to yourself.
Speeeedi sleeve !!!!!!! Your shaft looks too worn!!!!
The condition of your output shaft looks awful – a speedie sleeve will resolve the worn shaft so you can create a proper oil seal. Last thing you want is contamination
It's a slow run but you're making it. Thanks Jamie you gave him time to rest and reflect. Just in the mirror lol
The damage on your prop shaft was not caused by fishing line. The rubber prop seal scored the shaft and the shaft should be replaced
That Sail Drive Flange is Cast why can’t you Find a Welder to Seal that Crack
Hey Colin mate Jammie as well ,,,
Hey just watching this one and saw the pressure you always face when ever have to go thru a lift out ,,,
As a suggest how about you place white or black colour Jelco wherd you bulkheads are and get stickers made lift here pointed marking the 30 centimetre wide area the straps must be placed in then any damage resulting from straps incorrectly placed I’d on the boat yard head for repairs
Love the comical relief as always You all manage to show
I hope my suggestion makes sense
Cheers matey
Gary the old Aussie subscriber !!!!
Sailing to fixing ratio … doesn’t seem good.
Jamie stepping up! Again. 🤙
Looks like that Australian musician from SilverChair!
PLEASE WEAR FACE MASK Colin. When sanding stuff.. Geez Louise, I know you are a legend but please look after yourself
I’m horizontal injured with time on hand. So using a couple vessel loc apps like VesseLink etc I found SV Delos weeks ago safe and sound. But I’ve tried various spellings for Parlay, quite a few wrong ones and no Revival suffix either. How do I follow real time like Delos and others. Note: likely too late but tig weld the old part as a spare. Especially if you’re not sure why it cracked. Over torqued? Be well, wish I was there, maintained a fleet of 9 charters.
Groovy video
Hey, good to see Jamie doing some " Modeling " on this episode
Gday guys. Love this new rawer footage. Looks real and honest. Jamie you are a legend. You go alright too Collin 😁 Been following ur story for a long time. Good luck to ur upcoming passage and fair winds across the pacific. See yas down under 🤩
I love Riley and his family!
CBX crossing is godsend, because the TJ/Otay crossings can vary from 1hr to 8 plus hrs to cross…. Ive personally spent 13hrs waiting to cross TJ into SD it sucks!
G'day Crew,,,
Weld & reinforce the flange so it can be used as an emergency spare .
Big thanks to Jamie as he takes one for the team ( in the drinks lounge) , way to go,,,,,, lead by example bro.
Respect …!
A trick with drives… Put it in fwd before disconnecting the drive so it's easier to realign the spins when putting it all back together…
Colin, if you haven't done it already, put "SLING" markers on each side where those bulk heads are so the dock guys know where to put them instead of guessing….
What happend to all those stinky dogs and worthless women on the boat? Oh wait just clickbait and worthless dogs crap on the boat and pee…not
I've dealt with "we have to order that from Georgia" about a thousand times with my 3GM30F. As soon as I saw the cracked part I said "I'll bet he has to go to Georgia for this…" Sorry man!
Brain dead guys doing a lot of work this episode.
I reckon Jamie should get a guest appearance on the Big Lez Show some time soon. He'd fit in well with Nolezy and the Sasquatches.
Wow you guy did it!!😊
