Alan good evening, have you ever heard any negative comments from people renting a professionally crewed sail cat (45" to 50') from moorings, I'm heavily thinking about renting one for myself/wife and two other couples, for a retirement trip (Oct 2024).

Love the channel. So I completely understand your rant. By most Americans understanding, I'm wealthy. I've worked 65+ hour weeks since I was 18 years old to get through school debt free, built a business, Family, and a retirement income at 61. Sure I had some breaks, we all did, but I worked through a lot of stuff as well. I'm sure you did, as you mentioned your upbringing; which built you up as a man by the way. I've wanted an Aquila 44 since they came out, but I'm waiting on a nice used one I can afford. For now, I bought a Meridian 341 Sedan Bridge last month that I dock at Lake Lanier Ga. Its step one to getting to the Aquila. Even on this much smaller boat there's a learning curve. I feel a connection to your journey. I posted these pics on fb yesterday and of the 100 or so comments, 97 were positive, but then there's those that can't help but take a jab. These are friends?? Success IS NOT EASY! Sorry you have to deal with the trolls. Jealousy is a horrible thing. We had a 47’ sailboat and lived on it for 2 years. We are not rich. We worked hard and found a way to make it work. We too learned as we went and hired people when needed, just like you would on a house. There will always be haters no matter what you do. Motor on!
