Hi crew. Great work on the yacht.
As a former marine engineer I suggest to retighten the windless fasteners after a few usages. They are known to loosen up after the first few pulls. I know. The bigger the wiring the less problems. Less resistance the better.
I’ve been watching this rebuild from day one. It was a suggestion from odd life.

Hey guys use stainless dome nuts on the uppers – that will help prevent water and salt ingress between nut and stud threads as you have a risk of now. Also think about denso tape for other thread fittings on upper deck. Horrible stuff but works a treat.

Well, Sikaflex underneath the rubber is not needed and useless if the windlass is moved on top and pressure is applied while it's still fluid. If you work with Sikaflex and you want to use it as a seal, let it cure with a flat surface applied and little weight. When totally cured you apply the final pressure with the original parts. That way you have enough final thickness of rubber in between the parts to fill in irregularities of the surfaces.
By the way, those hinges of the hitches are just a bad joke! Do you really intend to go to sea with this kind of construction? There are standards for building wooden boats. They specify both design and minimum dimensions for the parts. They also define the material to be used for specific purposes. I recommend you watch Leo's rebuild of Tally Ho here on youtube. You can see there which kinds of compounds are used to keep wood from rotting. Epoxy paint does not appear to be one of them. See the ABYC standards here: https://abycinc.org/page/standards.
I know many people have its switches away from the windlass but when you work in the bow anchoring you want immediate direct control of the windlass. So another set of switches there.
