I tried to help you out with recommending Raymarine ACU400 with Type 2 Linear Drive and you would be enjoying your trip with an autopilot that performs even in stormy seas. But I guess Christopher Columbus didn’t have autopilot either.

After binging most of your episodes I had to get used to wait (and wait) for the next one! But it's worth the waiting! Btw I have a request/suggestion…. I also have a dream to sail the Pacific…. with a certain goal…. visiting on Hiva Oa the rest-place of Jaques Brel – he was internationally famous (not in US I guess) as a singer songwriter – he wrote mainly (heavy emotionally) French songs, and since he was born in Brussels he considered himself as a French-speaking Flemish guy… Maybe his songs and lyrics might be a good exercise to practice French 😉 – for us he was a singing poet and makes part of the cultural heritage of our little country (Belgium). So yes, we have more than the best beer in the world, the best chocolates, our famous fries (right: it's Belgian fries, not French lol) and Tomorrowland. So about my request: if you plan to visit Hiva Oa you can visit Calvary Cemetery, and make a picture of his grave – and if you think, well, why would we do that? Maybe coz he is close resting to his resting neighbor Paul Gauguin, the world famous impressionistic painter – so a lot of cultural history there that most sailors ignore – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Brel – https://www.airtahitinui.com/fr-fr/gauguin-brel-polynesiens-dadoption-mais-pour-leternite – that way, if I never succeed, I will have someone I like, who did it for me…. Hi Kristen, really enjoyed the video. Pretty amazing landing for the drone too. We've crossed the GoM a few times, and sailed thru the Bahamas as far south as the Raggeds, but no ocean crossings. I may now consider carrying a spare autopilot for our Seawind 1160. AP makes life so much easier. I hope you find the issue with yours. And hope Fabio heals.
