They haven't poluted the water. Drain dye is considered non toxic unless eaten in large quantities. A tiny amount spreads well in water so it looks dramatic but concentartion is low.

Guarantee there wil, be more pollutants comjng off that one yacht in a day than the drain dye caused. Oil, fuel, cleaning product, plastics.

So there is a double irony - should be arresting the yacht owner too if they are bothered about pollution.
