7.3 knot average for those 3 days. not bad at all. Now if they had hybrid motors you could regen while sailing. full batteries all the time. Another way to keep eggs long time is water bathing. put eggs in bucket with lid and add water to cover. if eggs float they are bad. Lasts about a year or more depending on temps where stored.

Hi Jon, what font are you using. It seems your 3's and 8's are upside down. I know I'm picky. Still quite at swell so not really the doldrums! Are the upper deck cushions getting moldy, or are they just damp - isn't the boat new? It seems the cushions covers are not well closed underneath. Is that the way they come from the factory? JFYI. you've posted the Oxley set up and hoisting twice. I've watched them both. I remember sailing the old Fireballs out of Gorges River sailing club and the have a purposely made spinnaker chute the would easily take an Oxley. Perhaps manufacturers should look at setting up something like that in their yachts. They would have to have it run alongside the anchor chain within the longereon underneath. Can you ask Paul Badenhurst for his comment on that please? Just looking at the greasy hands episode, as soon as Jon said, "everyone with greedy hands, I couldn't help thinking: "Hey while you're down there...!" !
