The incident with the log is the reason that an (semi) long keel and a skeg makes a boat safe to cross such fast seas. And the build quality of british boats back in the day.
Anyhow: Can´t imagine how it feels to be a little speck on an endless ocean, me just sailing around the local lakes and Northsea nervous once in a while ´cause of heavy wind and seas….it ´ll take a lot to make me want to sail the oceans like you dol, wow!!!!
