Nikola Tesla – because of him we have electricity, radio, remote controls, wireless power transfer, etc.. He made first hydro-electric plant using Niagara Falls and in 1893 he illuminated Chicago World Fair (no one saw something like that before in history). Pity that people don't know who was Nikola Tesla but everyone knows about "the Tesla".
And his name is there because its the name of the street. In ex Yugoslavia(Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Slovenia and Macedonia) there are many schools, streets and all kind of things named after him.
