I though some of the sustainability stuff was just a bit of feelgood green-washing, but honestly that fairing repair solution is actually practical in more situations than race boats.

For good sake, get Spithill out of the damn boat. We've seen what he is and these just are not the boats for him. For a super aggressive starting specialist, where is he in almost every start? Tail end of the fleet. And the start is EVERYTHING in these races. It's embarrassing.

The trouble with carbon fibre is that when it fails it fails suddenly and without warning. Pretty scary with the forces involved with these F50s – that NZ accident was a shocker. It's only a matter of time till someone is hurt, I'm afraid. But without CF this kind of performance wouldn't be possible so I guess the risk simply comes with the turf…
