I am constantly amazed at this young woman’s curiosity and courage. Thank you for showing as much of your story as you can. I love Vanuatu and have been in a lot of those anchorages you show. I think I remember the same clearing shed from 40 years ago but they didn’t call it biosecurity then. Rib injuries are a bugger, cracked one of mine in a similarly silly manner, a loud bang followed by three months of pain. I hope you have it behind you. No need to be shy about tough times, if you don’t put some of them in those of us who are also crazy enough to do this will be wondering what we do wrong.

A company called Samson has a booklet that shows you how to splice your lines, they also make quality line for replacing your weathered lines and even the old ones will work for a long time after they are replaced. I’m land locked currently and I still have retired gear in my pickup truck, I never know when I might have to pull a tree out of the road or someone else out of the ditch.
