3. 4 stars for food? I was under the impression that the food on Viking was second to none. Therefore I’m surprised you didn’t give it five stars.

   Bad choice Viking… 100 per hour winds, 40 foot waves! People physically hurt! Not to mention the emotional toll of going out into basically a category 2 hurricane! We bobbed around like a cork in the water. Glass breakage, furniture thrown everywhere. Water everywhere, patio doors broken. We are at port in Alesund Norway because our ship lost steering and propulsion. Our compensation you might ask … A free drink package for the rest of the cruise so we can all drink and forget about this and 60 percent off another cruise to trust them with our lives again. The captain stood on stage the night before telling us there were going to be 50 mile an hour winds behind us. We were worried but nothing prepared us for what we encountered. All for money, press on Viking … who cares how many lives you put at stake. I sustained a head injury as i said many are injured. Try to bury this and press on for money. Who made the choice to send us into that storm ?!!!

12. We have booked to go on a Athens to Istanbul cruise on 4th October. Treating ourselves to a penthouse junior suit . Can't wait. Northwest UK.

13. No it's not worth it it's BORING!

14. As a Norwegian sailor, the Viking ships are not "smaller" ships. Sure, they're smaller than those gigantic behemoths sailing in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, but they're not small enough to sail into the most interesting places in Norway. For example, they're too large for Trollfjorden for example.

15. Going on our 7th Viking cruise in December of this year , so far 3 ocean,2 river and 1 expedition all were the best of the best !!

16. We have booked our first cruise, ever, with Viking. We sail in Sept. 2025 to Alaska. We went with Viking based on all the good reviews. Today (Aug 7) we received a letter from Viking notifying us our disembarkation had been moved up from 9 am to 2 am. They will not comp us a room for the inconvenience. Really? We end our trip at 2 am on the dock with nowhere to go? Bad vibes already.
