OMA is traditional British noble dress in my opinion. I have observed that American Old Money would usually wear clothing akin to traditional British college students uniforms (think Oxford and Eaton, which have inspired classic menswear).

There's a wonderful episode of The Crown (S5E3) where an Egyptian man asks for the help of a valet that once served the Duke of Windsor, to integrate into British high society. Clothing choices for setting and activities are covered.

As for American Old Money, the Great Gatsby movie is full of great examples from all the actors (even the extras). I looked into it and the costume designer said they consulted Brooks Brothers for their historical input.

One time I did wear what might be an OMA ensemble to work (it was something I saw in movies when a rich person or someone who came into money would wear). It was a navy blue cashmere/wool blend blazer with gold buttons, classic cut khaki chinos, white dress shirt, red and blue tie, and black wingtips. My supervisor asked me to meet him in his office so we could talk about how I am dressing too nice for the work we do.

I'm sure that the GG staff have good intentions. Viewed a few episodes - mildly entertaining/amusing. IMHO: shop Ben Silver and Brooks Brothers, or go the bespoke route. Some good deals can be had on reduced offerings. It seems that GG tries too hard to assemble ensembles; reminds one of a adolescent desperately seeking to appear dapper. The majority of the showcased dressings appear contrived, not effortless. One thing does ring true. Know the rules, then bend them to create a GENUINE personal style; don't follow trends. For active wear go to Burberry, Beretta, and Eddie Bauer. The Belvedere shop does offer some nice accessories.

p.s. the late Julian Bream knew how to best dress for the occasion and Vladimir Horowitz was THE bow tie ambassador.

I would have thought that as far as clothes are concerned, it is pretty much obligatory to go with bespoke clothing if you are trying for an old money aesthetic – anything else would be faking it. And it seems to me that an old money person would be able to tell just from looking whether something is or isn't bespoke.
