I just binged watched all your videos from the beginning. We live aboard a 41 ft fraser full time on southern VI and visited desolation sound this summer for the first time. Next summer we take early retirement and are heading north as well so your videos are inspiring to say the least. You do such a good job putting them together. Well done!

Great channel. No commercials for one. And no windlass, no lazy jacks and no snubber. On a 30ft boat, two people on board, you do not need those things. As long as the anchor rope has stretch in it and it sinks. Furthermore I would get rid of the furling headsail. I thought I heard it is a 160. Far too big if combined with a full main. In case the 160 is in good shape, have it remade to a hank-on 130% as a genua 1. Then order or buy a genoa 2 around 90% and a stormjib at same size as the main in third reef. Figures are estimates as I cannot judge the position of your mast. Last: Based I my experience. A tiller is the ultimate means to find out wether your sails are trimmed perfectly to enable the boat to stay on course. Not sure how easy it would be in your case to ditch the wheel and go for a tiller. Btw: tiller autopilots are a lot cheaper than wheelpilots. 400 US for an tillerpilot Autohelm ST1000? I guess. Get rid off the quadrant and steering cables, cables break anytime, sooner or later. And, getting a hank-on sail down from the cockpit…..I have a cheap solution. In case you guys are interested, lemme know. I wish you fair winds and following seas.

Your videos are great. The drone footage is amazing. The rainbows, the eagles, etc. I like you do it on a boat that more people can afford.
