1. Sumitomo is a Japanese company which owns Falken and also sells tyres with the Dunlop brand in some places in the world… Although the Dunlop brand is owned by Goodyear in most markets… Strangely complex

    I started to save money to replace my 21 year's old Fiat Stilo, i was thinking to get Polo maybe TDI, it would be perfect.
    In my country they cost around 6k euros.

17. My Daughter wants a Polo for her first car, she is still currently taking lessons. I have tried to talk her out of a Polo for all the reasons mentioned in this video but she is still adamant she wants one. 😢

21. I had the same car about 5 years ago. The timing chain stretched at 60k miles. The Same engine was recalled across America and Europe but not UK. At 90k it sounded like it was going again. Worst VW engine in history.

28. I’ve got a 2010 1.4 polo. 115000 miles and it’s used as my shit city car. Nothing wrong with it and I absolutely love revving the nuts off it .

34. Sumitomo is quiet a desirable brand for a Toyota lover.
    JDM Toyotas from 90s have OEM brake pads made by this brand, and if you buy Sumitomo instead of Toyota you save like 60% of the price.

    Never heard them doing tyres, but I believe they should be okay-ish

36. I remember my mothers 2010 VW Polo (same model as you’ve bought here) has such considerable rust issues that she got rid of it by 2014.

42. I had a SEL 1.6 tdi polo 2013 and it was the most solid car I’ve ever owned

I bought a 55 plate 9n 1.4 tdi diesel and after 10 years and no mot fails the odometer is showing 212,000 miles , the only major thing that went wrong was a steering rack in all that time so we have been blessed with a good one and will be sorry to see it go as the sills are showing its age with the dreaded tin worm .

48. In 2012 i went to VW dealership with 16k euro in my pocket. I wanted to buy full spec red polo. I said to seller: ok, but before i buy it, i want to drive it. She said ,…ok…come next wednesday than. Yeah sure…. The Renault megane, i bought instead had this amount of rust in two years.
